Yeah, they have a special place in my heart for the vigorous and angry way that they miss the point about their religion's teachings.

Honestly, how close their position comes to their religion's teachings doesn't really concern me that much. (If I were still a Christian, I'd nevertheless reject a number of the messages in the Bible; people that go with the letter of the Bible scare me, too.) Their message of hate and disrespect, regardless of its supposed justification in religion, is what enrages me about them.
