NOLA cat story
You know, I could just about kill BoingBoing.

Fortunately, it linked to the original posting, which finished the story. (Hint: happy ending.)
I mean, okay, I'm not really _that_ pissed off at BB. And I realize that there are a lot of actual human beings that have died, in far worse circumstances, _today_ (never mind in Katrina's aftermath). But I'll always remember feeling the life go out of my cat, and I can identify closely with this guy for that reason...and BB let me think that his cat had actually died, dammit. I'm just glad that I followed the link, or I'd have been depressed all day.
