rain

I wish that I lived somewhere that had weather, as opposed to climate. I enjoy rain--not even just thunderstorms, although those too--but I find it just a bit depressing that it's such an Event here when it happens, as it is tonight.

Some Aussie friends of mine had just moved here, several years ago, when they saw a news report that spent a couple of minutes remarking on the fact that it was raining. Not the weather report, either. That about sums it up for Southern California.
