SJ Mercury News: Huge oil spill off Lebanon threatens to ravage life in the sea

Seriously, if this report is taken at face value, this oil spill has been spreading for almost a month, but Israel hasn't let anyone get in to clean it up.

Israel may, in some regards at least, be justified in their attacks on Lebanon--I haven't spent enough time looking into what's happening to have an informed opinion--but if this report is accurate, (a) Israel needs to get off the pot and at least let someone else clean up the mess they've created, and (b) I hope that they get stuck with the bill for cleaning it up regardless.

(Has it occurred to Israel that they're not that far down the coast from this spill?)
