I need to start getting a better idea of where the various candidates are coming from; this is a good place to start for Obama, at least for his approach to foreign policy.

Obama pretty much lost me when he decided to tour the south with an anti-gay gospel singer as pandering to the religious right is a deal breaker for me. This sucks, because he seemed to have sense and courage about things like the constitution and not using nukes on civilians. I honestly wanted him to be worthy of my vote; it's such a rare thing now that I'm not in deFazio's state. I'm back to weighing lesser of evils again.

I agree that it would have been better to do this _and_ cancel the singer's appearance on the tour (I haven't been able to get solid information on whether that happened or not, but I found no indications that it had been). But I do give him credit for making a strong statement on the subject.
