There's something very ironic about the fact that the AVI is encoded in an encoding that is not compatible with the default QuickTime available on a Mac.

...but I did manage to watch it using VLC.

Most of his problems with a Mac appear to be due to (1) his doing stupid things or (2) his using buggy software. Very little of it seems to be attributable to the Mac itself. I've been a Mac user for 15 years and haven't had such problems.
