Cripes.

It's not as if it's all that hard to hide files from Google; a decent directory structure and a robots.txt file will keep most searchbots from indexing them.

Yes. And there are other avenues, as well (password protection, e.g.) which generally work even if the searchbot is 'unethical' and ignores robots.txt.

But perhaps the best question is "what are these files doing on a public website At All?"
