In a way, I feel weird about this. Thus far, it seems quite plausible that there may have been enough malfeasance to flip Ohio, and possibly even Florida; either, of course, would have changed the outcome. But I'm not (yet) getting the sense that we're talking about anywhere near enough messing to cause Bush to lose the popular vote. And since I believe that the Electoral College ought to be dissolved, this leaves me with the conclusion that even if these votes were counted properly, Bush should have won anyway.
Gah.
Anyone have the phone number (and, more importantly, the ear) of the DNC? I still have (admittedly fading) hopes that they'll decide to actually follow through on their pledge and make sure that "every vote is counted"...even if it's not obvious that they can win as a result. Perhaps more importantly, these problems need to get more attention, or they ainta gonna get fixed this time, either.
