If bees make you really nervous, best skip this. If it helps, though, no one was injured or even vaguely concerned.

When Corwin got up from his nap this afternoon, I went to change his diaper and found a dead bee inside his pants (but outside his diaper--basically when I found it, it was between the diaper and the seat of his pants).

The bee was not obviously squished; I could tell that it was dead mostly because the wings were somewhat damaged and it wasn't moving. No idea what might have killed it. Nor did Corwin appear to have been bitten, as far as I could tell.

While communication with Corwin on matters of any complexity is, shall we say, yet somewhat of a chancy proposition, he didn't seem to know anything more about it than I did. Plus, he hasn't actually been outside today, and I'd put those pants on him myself earlier.

Weird.

On a Corwin-related note, for the first time Corwin gave me a name when I asked him for the name of one of his toy animals. Apparently his small rubber bath-toy fish is named (edit; I'd misremembered) Thomas; he gave the same name again about an hour later (and again the following morning), so I think this may be a real name.

That's such a beautiful icon for this purpose. If I were in the habit of doing anything interesting with my icons, I'd be tempted to ask if I could use it. :) (Yes, I recognize the source.)

I stole it from [livejournal.com profile] czarina69.

Y'know, if the bee wasn't crushed, probably it stung Corwin's diaper and then died from doing the stinging.
