New York Metro Magazine: The Choirboy
Despite the title, this has nothing to do with the Catholic Church. FYI.
Once again I'm confronted with the impression that the battle goes not to the righteous, but to the people with the bigger lawyer. The fact that I'm on the side of the bigger lawyer--that is, I assume that Lessig is in the right--doesn't necessarily make me feel any better about it, either.
Are cases such as this--of abuse of young boys--getting more attention than similar cases involving women often have in the past because the victims are male, or because our society is doing a better job of identifying and dealing with problems like this?
Oh, and if someone meets the lawyer (Greenblatt) that's arguing the school's case, give him a sock in the chops from me, huh? (This is not because of the job that he's taken, but how he's doing it.)
