Megan, Corwin, and I came back from our May 2006 whirlwind tour of the Pacific Northwest a week ago. The first week was spent in Portland helping friends get ready for their wedding, and the second was in the Seattle area looking for houses for our impending move to that area.

Even more long-winded than is my usual wont. You've been warned.

I found out today that two of my friends have given birth in the last week and a half. No real surprise in either case, but not including Megan herself, 3 out of 4 women in our wedding party have now given birth to their first child this year, each of them a boy. (Plus one cousin of Megan, ditto.)

(And for the first time it's occurred to me that these latest two children were born a bit more than 9 months after Corwin was. Hmm...)

Something in the water, maybe?
