So, um, there's this workshop (HotBots 2007, if you care) that I'm attending in Boston next Tuesday for work. Flights have not yet been arranged--this is all very last-minute, and for once it's not my fault
:)--but if things go as they expect I should be in Boston starting around 5 Monday evening, and available for socializing then and possibly again Tuesday evening.
If you live in the area and will be available for hanging out, please let me know; it would be great to see whatever subset of you can be arranged. :)

Any of you know anyone who might be up for visiting our cats every day (or every other day, if necessary) for a bit over a week? We'll be out of town starting this Friday (9 June) until the afternoon of the Sunday a week and a half later (18 June), and as we're new in town we don't have a lot of contacts that might be able to help. Our apartment's in Kirkland. If you have anything, please email me (address is on LJ user info) ASAP. Thanks!
well, we're here.
3 June 2006 22:38Megan, Corwin, and I are in temporary housing (an apartment) in Kirkland, WA. I've been at Microsoft for the past week (less Memorial Day); while I haven't yet decided whether I want/need a separate professional blog, I don't have the energy to go into how that's been going in detail. Imagine the kind of bureaucratic annoyances that you might expect a globe-straddling company with 70,000 employees to have waiting for its new employees, and at least some of those will be more or less accurate. That said, it's mostly going OK.
